US Nationals Weekend - Stage Staff

We will be utilizing the SCG Judge Discord for event information and updates as well providing more direct access to our staff before, during, and after events.

HOW TO APPLY

Please complete all questions to the best of your ability. Note that Stage Staff are eligible for, but not guaranteed, travel sponsorship.

The application window for this event will close at 11:59 PM Pacific time on Monday, June 12th, 2023.

EVENT INFORMATION and AVAILABLE POSITIONS

US Nationals Weekend will take place on August 25th-27th, 2023 at the Westgate Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Stage Staff - $250 per Day plus Product

Applicants selected for Stage Staff at US Nationals Weekend will work with Star City Games staff to manage player entry and scorekeeping. Stage Staff work approximately 12-hour shifts.

Approximate shift times:

• Friday – 7:45 am – approximately 8:00 pm
• Saturday – 7:45 am – approximately 8:00 pm
• Sunday – 7:45 am – approximately 6:00 pm

Stage Staff will receive $250 for each shift. To apply to be  Stage Staff at US Nationals Weekend you should have be confident taking registration quickly and/or using Flesh and Blood scorekeeping software.

 Note: All staff will receive sealed product based on the number of days that they are on staff:

 - One (1) Day - Two (2) Boxes of Dusk Till Dawn
 - Two (2) Day - Three (3) Boxes of Dusk Till Dawn
 - Three (3) Day - Four (4) Boxes of Dusk Till Dawn

EXPECTATIONS

Staff at Star City Games events are expected to positively contribute to the atmosphere of the event. They should behave in a professional manner at all times and constructively engage with players and other staff to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all attendees. Staff are expected to arrive on time and in appropriate attire to begin judging at the start of their assigned shifts.

Stage Staff at Star City Games events are expected to prepare for each event by reviewing the event web site and making sure that they are familiar with the events and packages being offered.

STAGE STAFF UNIFORM

Stage Staff at US Nationals Weekend will be provided with a blue SCG Judge shirt.

All Stage Staff should arrive with black professional attire and black, comfortable shoes. During breaks, or any other time that stage staff is off duty, they should remove or cover their judge shirt to indicate that they are not on shift.

CONTRACT AND TAX INFORMATION

Stage Staff are independent contractors and will be required to sign an event contract for their work at SCG CON events. Compensation for Stage Staff that are residents of the United States will be provided in the form of a check at the conclusion of your final shift of the weekend or mailed to your address following the event. International Stage Staff may elect to receive their compensation in the form of a PayPal payment after the event instead. All Stage Staff are required to submit a valid US tax form (W-9 or W-8 BEN) to Star City Games, in order to receive compensation.
