Transportation
Travel
Vienna Airport (45 min) (do not take the CAT, green train, it is a rip off, take the red vending machines!)
Vienna Main train station (30 min)
Vienna is reachable central in Europe by car, train and plain.
Vienna Main train station is one of the best linked in Europe, you can have a look here.
Additionally, there is a vast network of nightrains/nightjets being able to bring you here overnight!
For train tickets the öbb.at website is a good choice or traveling in from further in Western Europe trainline can also help. Many countries local rail providers also often sell tickets directly to Austria, prices may vary greatly.
Parking is possible in and around the city for either free or sub 10€ per day. Expect to take a 15-30 min public transport ride or higher fees in the city itself.
Places to stay
We recommend you using booking.com and other hotel pages to find a place in the city. The venue is very central and easy to reach.
One recommendation is Hotel Franz in walking distance, we had room blocks there at previous events, and they offer rooms from single up to 6 and 8 person rooms. All with private bathrooms.
Food and drinks
The venue is a bridge club, and we have a kitchen we can use and need to clean. For lunch, the plan is to order in, but you can also just roam around for the lunch break to a restaurant or other food of choice.
There is a proper coffee machine installed for real, Italian approved, coffee. Your external food can also be brought in. On Sunday, we will all together clean the venue at the end of the conference.
Other activities
We will also plan a dinner together on Friday and Saturday in the city.
The conference venue will be open on Saturday night for all sorts of TCGs and board games!
Additionally, we want to offer a city tour of Vienna for interested people on Friday afternoon/evening before
Stay tuned for more!
