We will be utilizing the SCG Judge Discord for event information and updates as well providing more direct access to our staff before, during, and after events.

HOW TO APPLY

Please complete all questions to the best of your ability. Note that Stage Staff are eligible for, but not guaranteed, travel sponsorship.

The application window for this event will close at 11:59 PM Pacific time on Monday, November 27th.

EVENT INFORMATION and AVAILABLE POSITIONS

Pro Tour Los Angeles Weekend will take place on March 22-24, 2024 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Stage Staff - $250 and two boxes of Heavy Hitters per Day

Applicants selected for Stage Staff at Pro Tour Los Angeles Weekend will work with Star City Games staff to manage player entry and scorekeeping. Stage Staff work approximately 12-hour shifts.

Approximate shift times:

• Friday – 7:45 am – approximately 8:00 pm
• Saturday – 7:45 am – approximately 8:00 pm
• Sunday – 7:45 am – approximately 6:00 pm

Stage Staff will receive $250 for each shift. To apply to be  Stage Staff at Pro Tour Los Angeles Weekend you should have be confident taking registration quickly and/or using Flesh and Blood scorekeeping software.

 Note: All staff will receive sealed product based on the number of days that they are on staff:

 - One (1) Day - Two (2) Boxes of Heavy Hitters
 - Two (2) Day - Four (4) Boxes of Heavy Hitters
 - Three (3) Day - Six (6) Boxes of Heavy Hitters

EXPECTATIONS

Judges at Star City Games events are expected to positively contribute to the atmosphere of the event. They should behave in a professional manner at all times and constructively engage with players and other staff to create a welcoming and supportive environment for all attendees. Judges are expected to arrive on time and in appropriate attire to begin judging at the start of their assigned shifts.

Judges are expected to prepare for each event by reviewing the Tournament Rules and Policy, Comprehensive Rules, and Penalty Guidelines. These documents can be found at the Flesh and Blood Rules and Policy Center.

JUDGE UNIFORM

Judges at Pro Tour Los Angeles Weekend should bring their own Flesh and Blood judge shirt. If you do not have one, one will be provided for you. For the rest of your uniform, please arrive with black pants and black, comfortable shoes. We ask that you tuck in your Flesh and Blood Judge Shirt and that you do not wear a hat while on shift.

During breaks, or any other time that a judge is off duty, we suggest that you remove or cover your Flesh and Blood Judge Shirt to indicate you are not available.

CONTRACT AND TAX INFORMATION

Judges are independent contractors and will be required to sign an event contract for their work at SCG CON events. Compensation for judges that are residents of the United States will be provided in the form of a check at the conclusion of your final shift of the weekend or mailed to your address following the event. International judges may elect to receive their compensation in the form of a PayPal payment after the event instead. All Judges are required to submit a valid US tax form (W-9 or W-8 BEN) to Star City Games, in order to receive compensation.

Stage Staff Applications for Pro Tour Los Angeles Weekend will close at 11:59 PM (Pacific) on Monday, November 27th, 2023.

Offers for Stage Staff positions at Pro Tour Los Angeles Weekend will be sent on or before Friday, December 1st, 2023.
