World Championship 2024 - Osaka

GIRAFULL is excited to announce the opening of the World Championship 2024 weekend applications!

This is your chance to be part of the team in the role of a Judge, scorekeeper or lead admin.

The applications will close on Monday 22nd of July, 2024 at 23:59 (anywhere in the world). 

A selection will be made and communicated by Thursday 1st of August, 2024.

EVENT INFORMATION

Dates: 1st to 3rd of November 2024

ROLES AND EXPECTATIONS/役割と期待される能力

We are looking for judges and scorekeepers staff to help with the event in the following roles/イベント実施のために募集しているジャッジとスコアキーパーの役職は下記です:

• Learn 2 Play Judge /初心者講習ブースジャッジ
• Team Lead /チームリード
• Scheduled Events Lead/Promo Event Lead / サイドイベント・プロモイベントリード
• Scorekeeper / スコアキーパー
• Scorekeeper Lead /スコアキーパーリード
  
• Admin Lead / アドミンリード

The outline of roles, responsibilities, and shift times above is an estimate of our staffing requirements for the event. Please note that these are subject to change, and may be adapted upon our final staff selection for the event. Your actual shift call times will vary by role.

If selected as part of the event staff, you will be expected to work a minimum of two days. The expected shift length is approximately 10–11 hours, with a one-hour lunch break and at least one thirty-minute break.

Judges are expected to arrive on time and in appropriate attire. Predominantly black pants, or similar, and predominantly black shoes. If you have one or multiple yellow judge shirts, please bring them to the event. Additionally, judge shirts can be provided in limited quantities. (Solicitation in the form)

上記の役割、責任、シフト時間の概要は、本イベントに必要なスタッフの概算です。これらは変更される可能性があり、イベントの最終的なスタッフ選考の際に変更される可能性があることをご了承ください。実際のシフトコール時間は役割によって異なります。

イベントスタッフに選ばれた場合、最低2日間の勤務が求められます。想定されるシフト時間は約10～11時間で、1時間の昼食休憩と少なくとも1回の30分の休憩があります。

審査員は、時間通りに適切な服装で出勤することが求められます。主に黒のズボン、またはそれに類するもの、そして主に黒の靴を着用すること。黄色の専用ジャッジシャツを1枚または複数枚お持ちの方は、当日ご持参ください。また、数量に限りはありますが、ジャッジシャツを提供することも可能です。

All team leads for the World Championship, the Calling and the Battle Hardened need to Level 2 at the time of scheduling.

World Championship、コーリング及びバトルハーデンのすべてのチームリードは、スケジューリング時にレベル2である必要があります。

*being a Level 2 Judge will be required to be a floor Judge at those events, expectations will only be made for language coverage or special logistical reasons.

*World Championship、コーリング及びバトルハーデンを担当するジャッジは原則Level2ジャッジである必要があります（人員調整や言語的スキルセットを鑑みLv1ジャッジが配属されることもあります）

STAFF COMPENSATION/ 報酬

The staff outlined below, will receive the following per day worked, based on their role for that day:
Additionally, Judges from beyond Asia will receive an additional 2 boxes of ROS product by default for the weekend.

Floor Judge: 30000 Yen and 2 boxes of ROS Japanese language set product
Learn 2 Play Judge: 30000 Yen and 2 boxes of ROS Japanese language set product
Team lead: 45000 Yen and 2 boxes of ROS Japanese language set product
Scorekeeper: 30000 Yen and 2 boxes of ROS Japanese language set product
Scorekeeper lead: 45000 Yen and 2 boxes of ROS Japanese language set product

フロアジャッジ: 30000円とROS日本語セット2箱
初心者講習ジャッジ: 30000円とROS日本語セット製品2箱
チームリード: 45000円とROS日本語セット2箱

Based on the unique nature and responsibility of certain roles, If you are selected to the following, you will be required to work all three event days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). Rather than receive compensation on a per day basis, these positions will instead receive a fixed compensation, which is cumulative of their confirmation of work for the entire Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the event.

以下の職種に選ばれた場合、その職務の特殊性と責任に基づき、イベント3日間（金、土、日）すべてに勤務することが求められます。これらのポジションは、1日単位で報酬を受け取るのではなく、下記の固定報酬をお支払いいたします。

Battle Hardened Head Judge: 145000 Yen and 6 boxes of ROS Japanese language set product
Scheduled Event Lead: 175000 Yen and 6 boxes of ROS Japanese language set product
Promo Event Lead: 175000 Yen and 6 boxes of ROS Japanese language set product
Admin Lead: 175000 Yen and 6 boxes of ROS Japanese language set product

バトルハーデンヘッドジャッジ: 145000円とROS日本語 6箱
サイドイベントリード: 175000円と ROS 日本語 6箱
プロモイベントリード: 175000円と ROS 日本語 6箱
アドミンリード: 175000円とROS日本語 6箱

TRAVEL SPONSORSHIP/交通費特別支給

In addition to any of the staff compensation outlined above, Travel Sponsorship is available in limited quantities for applicants. It can be requested in the application process by responding to the travel sponsorship application question. Do note that travel sponsorship is extremely limited.

The following are the maximum that can be requested per region
Asia (non Japan) max. 30000 Yen
Australia and New Zealand max. 60000 Yen (by default two boxes ROS extra)
Western North America max. 80000 Yen (by default two boxes ROS extra)
Europe/ Rest Americas max. 100000 Yen (by default two boxes ROS extra)

EXTRA JUDGE EVENTS/その他ジャッジイベント

There will be the Judge Cup 2024 hosted on Wednesday before this show. Expected start time is 9:00 am. Details will follow on an independent event page. You do not need to be staffed for the World Championship weekend, if you want to apply for this event.

10月30日水曜日にJudge Cup 2024が開催されます。
開始予定時刻は午前9時になり、詳細は後日イベントページにて発表されます。
このイベントに参加するためにWolrd Championshipの週末にスタッフとして参加する必要はありません。

There will be a Judge conferences hosted on the Thursday before this show. Excepted times are 10:00 to 17:00. Details will follow on an independent conference event. You do not need to be staffed for the World Championship weekend, if you want to attend the conference. 

10月31日木曜日にJudge Cup 2024が開催されます。
実施時間は午前10時‐午後5時の予定で、詳細は後日イベントページにて発表されます。
このイベントに参加するためにWolrd Championshipの週末にスタッフとして参加する必要はありません。

STAFF RECOGNITION/追加報奨

All staff members, regardless of the number of days worked and their role, will receive a selection of promotional items for the event. This promotional gift is an expression of appreciation for the contributions from all staff working this event. These items should not be considered as part of, or in lieu of, your staff compensation for the event. Additionally, all staff members who are Certified Level 1 or above with the Judge Program will receive a selection of judge specific promotional items.

A staff celebration, with food, drinks, and booster drafts, will happen during the event weekend. The exact details of the staff celebration will be confirmed and communicated closer to the event.
