Battle Hardened Wellington 2024 06th-08th December

We’re excited to announce the opening of our Battle Hardened Judge and Staff Applications! This is your chance to be part of the team in the role of a Judge or Scorekeeper. A selection will be made and communicated when the application closes. Please ensure you read through the full application before applying. 

EVENT INFORMATION 
Dates: 06th-08th December 
Venue: Te Auaha, 65 Dixon Street, Te Aro, Wellington 6011
 
The weekend will include events over several days as follows: 

Friday: Side Events
Saturday: Battle Hardened 
Sunday: Pro Quest + 
 
ROLES AND EXPECTATIONS 
We are looking for judges and a scorekeeper to help with the event in the following roles: 

● Friday

○ Pack-in team (4-6 hrs)
○ Scorekeeper (9-11 hrs)

● Saturday (All day) – Shift lengths 10-11 hours 

○ Head Judge Battle-Hardened (must have hosted BH or above event) 
○ Floor Judge 
○ Scorekeeper 

● Sunday (All day) – Shift lengths 10-11 hours

○ Head Judge ProQuest+
○ Floor Judge 
○ Scorekeeper 

The outline of roles, responsibilities, and shift times above is an estimate of our staffing requirements for the event. Please note that these are subject to change, and may be adapted upon our final staff selection for the event. Your actual shift call times will vary by role. The expected shift length is approximately 10-11 hours with a one-hour lunch break and at least one thirty-minute break. Judges are expected to arrive on time and in appropriate attire. Predominantly black pants, or similar, and predominantly black shoes. If you have one or multiple yellow judge shirts, please bring them to the event. Additionally judge shirts can be provided in limited quantities. 
 
STAFF COMPENSATION 
The staff outlined below, will receive the following per day worked, based on their role for that day: 
● Battle-Hardened Head Judge: $960 (full weekend)
● PQ+ Head Judge: $890 (full weekend)
● Scorekeeper: $840 (full weekend)
● Floor Judge: $270
● Pack-in Team: $150

These payments will be made to you as an independent contractor (or if you are a gst-registered business/sole trader, can be made to the appropriate entity).

Alternative Payment Options

Each $100 can be exchanged for 1 full box of currently in-print product, or $120 of Store Credit with Iron Knight Gaming.

Note: As you are not on staff for this event, some users may be hidden from the staff list, in accordance with their privacy settings. You can always see the full staff list if you are either part of the staff yourself, or otherwise, after the event is over.
