Welcome to the application for World Tour Memphis 2025!
This is your chance to join the team as a Judge, Admin, or Scorekeeper. Applications will close on November 14th, 2024 (anywhere worldwide). A selection will be made and communicated by November 21st, 2024. Please ensure you read through the entire application before applying.

ROLES AND EXPECTATIONS
We are looking for judges, scorekeepers, and admin staff to help with the event in the following roles.
- Floor Judge
- Runs casual scheduled events or on demand drafts as a head or floor judge or be a floor judge at a competitive/professional tournament.
- May also be assigned as a Learn to Play judge.
- Level 2 is required to judge a competitive or professional rules enforcement event (excluding Battle Hardened.) Limited exceptions may be made for language coverage, logistical needs, or for Level 1 Judges working directly with a mentor to possibly obtain their Level 2 recommendation after having fulfilled all other requirements for L2.
- Requires Level 1 or Level 2.
- Team Lead
- Leads a team of 2-6 judges for a given task at one of the competitive/professional events or at an scheduled event.
- Contact with the head judge team or scheduled event lead as appropriate.
- Send a team breifing before the event.
- Enables a team to fulfill their tasks, looks after the team's wellbeing, provides feedback to team members.
- Requires Level 2.
- Event Admin
- Staff on the prize wall, info desk or stage.
- Staff on the prize wall, info desk or stage.
- Scorekeeper
- Scorekeeps events.
- May assist with other stage tasks.
- Requires familiarity with GEM and Purple Fox.
- Scorekeeper Lead
- Scorekeeps events, including the Calling and Battle hardened
- Requires expert knowledge of GEM and Purple Fox, especially drafting processes.
- Leads the scorekeeping team, taking care of the scorekeepers needs and providing mentoring.
- Attendee Experience Coordinator
- Point of contact for anyone who has concerns about harassment or discrimination.
- Combined with a floor judge or admin role.
- One floor judge and one admin will have this role at each event.
- Assesses and triages situations brought to their attention, and escalates to organanizer staff as necessary.
- Applicants should be comfortable in conflict resolution, mediation, and handling sensitive conversations.
- Experience or training relevant to the role should be mentioned in the applicaiton.
- Battle Hardened Head Judge
- Head Judge of the Battle Hardened on Sunday.
- Involved in selecting staff for the event.
- Plans and communicates Battle Hardened event details.
- Enables the Battle Hardened team to fulfill their tasks, looks after the team's wellbeing, provides feedback to team members.
- Focus on rules and policy.
- Requires Level 2.
- Scheduled Events Lead
- Leads the scheduled events team which ranges from 5 to 20 judges.
- Coordiantes with the Head Judge and organizer team.
- Sends a team breifing before the event.
- You will be required to be in contact with the head judge and organization team as well as write and send a team briefing before the show.
- Enables the team to fulfill their tasks, looks after the team's wellbeing, provides feedback to team members.
- Focus on logistics and mentorship.
- Requires Level 2.
This outline is an estimate of our staffing needs, and is subject to change and may be adapted for the final staff selection for the event.
GENERAL EXPECTATIONS
Staff of this show will be direct brand ambassadors for Flesh and Blood and should act accordingly. This means a professional presentation as well as delivering great customer service for all attendees.
- Shift times
- Daily shifts within 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.
- Shifts will be around 10 to 11 hours, with a one-hour lunch break and at least one thirty-minute break.
- If you are not available for these times, you need to mention that in the application, this may reduce your chance for being staffed.
- Actual shift call times will vary by role and shift.
- Staff are required to be ready to work at the call time, including being in uniform and ready for a team meeting.
- Judge attire
- Judges are expected to arrive on time and in appropriate attire.
- Predominantly black pants, or similar, and predominantly black shoes.
- If you have one or multiple yellow judge shirts, please bring them to the event.
- Additionally, judge shirts can be provided in limited quantities, please answer accordingly in the application questions.
- Judges are expected to cover thier uniform while not on shift.
- Please avoid attire directly featuring brands of other TCGs.
- Staff communication
- Staff are expected to stay up to date on pre-event breifings on the staff Discord and forum.

- Selling, buying and trading
- Staff or attendees are not allowed to sell or buy any items in or near the event hall.
- The only exception to this is official vendors in the event hall.
- Trading cards or other gaming items are allowed.
STAFF COMPENSATION
The staff outlined below, will receive the following per day worked, based on their role for that day.

Staff are responsible for booking and paying for their own travel and accomodation.
Payment and contract details
Selected staff will recieve an offer with their compensation and travel sponsorship. After accepting the offer, they will be required to sign a contract with Laughing Dragon Events prior to the event. United States persons will be required to fill out a form W9 at the event, other staff will be required to fill out the appopriate tax documents.
Staff are paid via PayPal approximately one week after the event. If you would like to be paid differently, please reach out to the staffing manager at the event.
TRAVEL SPONSORSHIP
In addition to the staff compensation outlined above, limited Travel Sponsorship is available. All applications will be considered for travel sponsorship. If you have specific needs for travel sponsorship, please include them in your application.
JUDGE CONFERENCE
This event will feature a Judge conference on Thursday or Friday morning, support and time is yet to be decided.
The conference will have a separate application on a different JudgeHub event.
STAFF RECOGNITION
All staff members, regardless of the number of days worked and their role, will receive promotional items for the event.
This promotional gift is an expression of appreciation for the contributions of all staff working at this event. These items should not be considered part of, or in lieu of, your staff compensation for the event.
Additionally, all staff members who are certified Level 1 or above with the Judge Program will receive a selection of judge specific promotional items.
A staff celebration with food, drinks, and booster drafts will occur during the weekend event. The exact details of the staff celebration will be confirmed and communicated closer to the event. For most events this will happen Sunday evening.
