Event Information
We’re excited to announce the opening of our NZ Nationals 2025 Judge and Staff Applications! This is your chance to be part of the team in the role of a Judge or Scorekeeper. A selection will be made and communicated when the application closes. Please ensure you read through the full application before applying.
EVENT INFORMATION

The weekend will include events over several days as follows:
Friday: Setup and Side Events (Super Armory)
Saturday: National Championship Day 1
Sunday: National Championship Day 2 and World Championship Qualifier (Pro Quest+)
ROLES AND EXPECTATIONS
We are looking for judges and a scorekeeper to help with the event in the following roles:
○ Head Judge (L2) Nationals
○ Head Judge World Championship Qualifier
○ Floor Judge
○ Scorekeeper
Head Judges and Scorekeeper will be working all 3 days, including assisting with Setup on the Friday. They will also be expected to do admin ahead of the event.
Floor Judges will only be required for Saturday and Sunday.
If applying as a Floor Judge, you can opt to be on Standby - this means you will be activated if there is sufficient demand (and paid accordingly), will receive staff gifts as per normal, and if not activated will have free entry to one regular side event of your choice per day of standby.
The outline of roles, responsibilities, and shift times above is an estimate of our staffing requirements for the event. Please note that these are subject to change, and may be adapted upon our final staff selection for the event. Your actual shift call times will vary by role. The expected shift length is approximately 10-11 hours with a one-hour lunch break and at least one thirty-minute break. Judges are expected to arrive on time and in appropriate attire. Predominantly black pants, or similar, and predominantly black shoes. If you have one or multiple yellow judge shirts, please bring them to the event. Additionally judge shirts can be provided in limited quantities.
STAFF COMPENSATION
The staff outlined below, will receive the following:
- Nationals Head Judge - $1000/weekend
- PTI Head Judge - $800/weekend
- Floor Judges - $270/day
- Scorekeeper - $700/weekend
These payments will be made to you as an independent contractor (or if you are a gst-registered business/sole trader, can be made to the appropriate entity).
Each $100 for $130 of Store Credit with Iron Knight Gaming.
STAFF RECOGNITION
"All level 1 judges and above working both days will receive a selection of promotional items for the event. These promotional gifts are an expression of appreciation for the contributions from working this event. These items should not be considered as part of, or in lieu of, your staff compensation for
the event."
