NRG Events is running the 30,000 square feet Card Hall of Popcon.us and needs your help to bring it to life.

Roles
We are accepting applicants for many different roles at this event. You may apply for more than one role. In your application, please specify which role(s) you are applying for.

Scorekeeper/Stage Assistant: We will be accepting 2-3 scorekeepers for Sat/Sun. All scorekeepers will work as a collective team to scorekeep main and side events as well as assist with player registration and customer service. The shift begins at 8am and concludes once the main events have entered top 8. This is a highly competitive position with a large time demand. It includes hotel sponsorship.

Team Leads: A small amount of team leads will be accepted for Deck Checks, End of Round, and Side Events. Team Leads on the main event are expected to stay through the top 8.

Floor Judge: We are accepting floor judges for main events, side events, and casual play/command zone. Most floor judges will be scheduled 8am-end of main event swiss rounds.

Learn to Play Judge: Each participating TCG (FAB, Riftbound, Lorcana) will have one L2P judge per day, 10am-7pm with a 45 minute break.

Standby: A standby judge is expected to be present 15 minutes prior to the start of the main event should they be activated. If not activated, they will receive complimentary event entry (more details under compensation) as a thank you. We will be hiring multiple standby judges to allow for event flexibility. NRG Events is in new territory regarding event offerings and potential size of our events.
- Head Judge: Head judges are expected to be the final arbiter of appeals, assist with mentorship and training, and provide a fair and safe play experience at NRG Events.
Compensation
All staff members will receive their compensation via iPayout approximately 1-2 weeks after the event's conclusion and must complete appropriate tax paperwork (W-9 for US citizens). Judges may opt to receive store credit with a 10% bonus instead of cash compensation. P.S. No cash stipend will be provided, the $15 cash per day ("Hot Dog Money") that was previously a part of NRG solicitations has been baked into the total compensation.
Role and Cash Compensation (per day)
Head Judge -- $350 + hotel provided + $50 lunch stipend
Scorekeeper -- $300 + hotel provided
Team Lead -- $300
Floor Judge -- $275 ($140 for Friday)
Learn to Play -- $275
